My Story
About me, my name is Patty Kennedy. One day in 2021, my husband Billy and I were doing a Fundraiser for Child Help Knoxville. My husband owns a Food Truck called Kennedy Grill, and we were at Farragut Park for Christmas lights. Trying to raise money for Child Help Knoxville to help purchase Christmas presents for the children who are in the adoption program. It was a really cold night. People were looking at Christmas lights, seeing the children preform Christmas songs and we raised a little bit of money to donate. I was talking to my husband about the correction of errors for what we did good and things we could improve on for the next year. Stephanie from Child Help stopped by, I mentioned the following year selling hot chocolate and dog treats. Stephanie suggested doing hot chocolate by donation. Farragut Park at Christmas had a lot of Dogs with their owners and hot chocolate would have warmed the soul. Goal for Child Help was to purchase 3 Christmas presents for 100 children spending around $125 for each child.
The reason we started Kennedy Animal Treats was to raise money for Child Help Knoxville, Faith-N-Friends, Union County Animal Shelter and Sevier Heights Baptist Church Adoption Program. We want to be known as the Treat that Keeps on Giving. We want to make a difference in a Child’s life so they know that there are nice people in the world. I love Animals; dogs, cats, and horses. I grew up on land with horses and they made me feel free. My daughter Meghan adopted a wonderful horse from Faith-N-Friends. Her horse is a Mustang from Nevada names Vegas. Two years ago, we adopted Winston from Union County Human Society. Winston is the most loving, caring, cuddly dog. He has brought so much more love into our lives. Last year we adopted Carson from Young Williams. Carson is a very protective, loving and cuddling dog to my husband and myself. We also have a cat that was given to us 17 years ago. Her name is Angel, trust me, Angel’s name is deceiving. When Angel wants to she is loveable and wants to snuggle, other times Angel wants to bite you and meows like a mountain lion all day and night long. Oddly she rules over the dogs.
When I started looking into making animal treats I never thought there would as much paper work, rules and regulations. Even had to send each treat to be tested for the Tennessee State Agriculture. I made sure we use all safe animal friendly ingredients. Our dogs, grand dogs and friends’ dogs have been my taste testers. So far lots of tails wags and they want more. We just would like our treats to help make your fury family members tail wag, want more treats to help Animals and Children.
Thanks so much for Choosing Kennedy Animal Treats, your purchase helps more than you will ever know.
